Bah! I don't think it counts if you have "people" whose job it is to make sure that it's always washed and in good repair for you and you just drive it around like any other vehicle. I believe that TRULY being a rear-engine VW owner is only achieved if it inspires prayer ("Please [deity], just let me get home so I can find why it's making that noise in the comfort of my garage"); community (stopping to help other VW drivers in trouble, even if all you have to offer is a ride); and charity ("here, take my spare [fuel pump/alternator belt/etc]"). I'm not saying she DOESN'T do that-- it'd be totally the coolest if she does--, but the random dozen celebrities I've dealt with in a professional capacity has unfortunately suggested it's not very likely...
