<<xtabe@YAHOO.COM(tabe johnson) Date: Subject: Fixing case damage due to water pump impeller Frank Condelli fixes damage to the case by water pump impellers using JB Weld. I'm a bit paranoid it might fall off and gum up the works. Anyone use anything else,>> I would be too Tabe. The JB weld is a good product, and works well, in many sometimes haphazard repair situations. I'm not real sure I'd feel real confident or comfortable with the JB under constant pressure, with the added heat and coolant working against the bond between it and the aluminum case. I would consult a welding outfit that has a mobile tig set up. It might cost a couple of bucks more, but I would feel a bunch better about the repair and it's longevity. Do it once, do it right. I'd advise against the flim flam JB fix in the water pump housing area.
