I received this information at work today and thought some of you might want to catch the "Best Damn Desert Show" in California. Who knows when the next time the desert will bloom like this. The residents of L.A. & San Diego might have to move to the desert if they get this much water next year. Tim " We have received over 12 inches of rain YTD in Borrego Springs. The Anza-Borrego Desert is absolutely covered in flowers and it looks like the season will extended longer than normal. If you can get down here anytime in March you will have a great chance of catching a glimpse of the best flower year in a decade. We have been adding flower pictures to our web-site. Borrego Palm Canyon has been flowing with water since the flash floods in September. This is the year to visit Anza-Borrego. Here is the site for the flowers. http://www.anzaborrego.statepark.org/wildflowers.html Mathew L. Fuzie District Superintendent Colorado Desert District " |
