Was getting ready to do my subaru conversion. Used commercial grade 100% obtained from a shop using it in a mfr process. No adjustments made. Wanted to see if there were any variances running stock low compression engine with no O2 sensor in the circuit. My other vehicle at the time (a later jetta) had O2 on it. This meant that I would get same volume to injectors with no computer adjustments except from the AFM. Everything said I should run cooler (what I was testing) and I actually ran warmer at the head. I believe this is because effectively I was running leaner. When doing this with a carbed engine you open the jets to get more fuel in. I used the 20 percent because at the time it was double what the pumps were using and less than the 50 percent a couple carbed alc runners were using. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• jimt Planned insanity is best. Remember that sanity is optional. http://www.tactical-bus.info (tech info) http://www.westydriver.com |
