One of my favorite campgrounds is right in Gig Harbor, WA, though you'll feel pretty much out of the way if you stay there. It is Kopachuck State Campground, and is a bit difficult to find. You gotta follow the signs, and you'll swear that the WA parkjs department is deliberately trying to be evasive, but it is worth it when you get there. The campground is on a hillside and is covered with lodgepole pines. Very pretty and quiet.
