I have had these clip on style plastic mudflaps on  my Westy now for about 5
~ 6 years maybe longer and have never had a problem  with them coming off.
Drive all year, snow, slush and ice build up no  problem.  Those clips are a
PITA to get installed properly but once  installed they hold well.  I sell these
mudflaps also and they are the best  deal there is if you want mudflaps on
your Westy.  The OEM ones will  eventually come apart at the metal support line.
Seen that way too many  times.
