Don't know about the rest of you, but a 24 cent increase puts us over $2.50 here on the central CA coast.  Today's regular prices are $2.21 - the cheapest I saw (Arco) - most are around 2.30.  Any way you look at it, we're paying a lot less than Canada and Europe - even at $2.50.  Like you say, you don't see any less cars on the roads and people keep buying the big SUV's.
