All gas fuel in the US now have additives in them to meet federal fuel
emissions requirements.  Also the one additive that VW lists in its manuals
is injector cleaner.  Later manuals dropped the listing of injector cleaner
and instead replaced with a phrase to use gasoline with cleaners in it.
