From a program on PBS a while back, many of the technologies that were purchased were very rigorously pursued. Some were not bought up even with "inventors" screaming how good they were. Turns out a lot of what was being "discovered" was actually old technology that had been tried before. Some back in the 30s. others went on to become various types of injection or lead to newer air systems that are in use today. Many of the others just could not be economically done. They would have had to be individually tuned to each vehicle. Todays computers are doing that on the fly now. So you might say that technology is with us.

One I have been watching is the E85 fuels. From what I have been reading the current E85 is itself a transition product but they donΉt say to what. What I would like to see is a new fuel that is backward compatible. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• jimt Planned insanity is best.
