Hi Jere,

I know very little (nothing) about H2O cooled heads so here are a couple
obvious questions.
* Are you using the proper torque settings?
* Are you using the proper torque pattern?
* Are you sure the O-ring did not move from its position during
installation?
* Are the parts damaged or incorrectly manufactured?

Greeting all,



If you have been following the upper cylinder o-ring blew and I decided to
replace the heads while I was doing the job (engine had about 92K miles on
it)



I replace the heads, gaskets, adjusted the valves etc.. and she started
right up and purred!!!  Then White smoke (steam) during test drive.



Today I took the head off (only took 3.5 hrs.) and this is what I found:



            The o-ring looks like it is good shape????



            Part of the oil ring was in the coolant jacket :-( area

What to do??????????
