Actually, this is a good point for folks to remember when going to larger wheels and tires....

When folks change the offset (usually to accommodate wider tires), they are changing the tire track on the road...AND they are changing the stress on the axle/bearing/suspension. And usually adding additional stress to those things. Why?

Well, its simply a matter of leverage. the same thing that make it easier to turn a nut with a long breaker bar, is the same thing that make it easier to add excessive wear and stress to your bearings and axles.

I don't think most of us will have to worry about it though, as in this case, the stock parts are pretty good. However, I've definitely seen some other vehicles out there (low rider hondas, as an example) which are just asking to break an axle.
