I can confirm that with tests I ran with my 82westy when it had the air cooled engine. I intentionally added an additional 10 percent alcohol to my tank for three alternate tank loads with cruising into the mountains and passes above 8k feet. These tanks were then run to almost empty and refilled straight from the pumps. My temps went up at the head by about the same percentage (10 percent). Did not get any real loss of power though. (wasn¹t any to begin with) oil temps no change. Still maxed out.

Crude measuring method was to get two 1 gallon jugs of alcohol (ethyl) and pour 1.5 into tank and then fill with gasoline. For the next test tank load the half jug and a full one. The final test 1.5 jugs again and poured the rest into my daughters jeep tank. (somebody told her to add some tank dri to her tank and she wanted to know if I could do it.) •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• jimt Planned insanity is best.
