The ethyl that you added to your tank, was it 200-proof ethanol? If you put anything less than 200-proof in gasoline, the water in the ethanol becomes dissociated (right word? Not sure) and you get the same effect as if you bought straight gasoline with water in it, loss of power, rough running, etc. The other problem is that you're changing the BTU content and volatility of the fuel, among other things. Did you adjust your fuel management system, timing, etc., to handle this change?
