If it's unduly hot, like hotter than the air outside, you may be suffering from a bad heater valve. If you search the archives for my Felder and Heater, you'll find an approach that makes it a whole lot easier.

If you're just worried about air leaking in at the vents, that's a whole nother issue that requires dash removal. But it's well-covered in the archived.
