Are you suggesting that "Wilder's Law" says more about people than Vanagons? Now that you mention it, it kind of DOES say more about the nut behind the steering wheel than the vehicle. Logic would dictate that (say) a $1000 Vanagon would require more work to get it "up to snuff" than a $10,000 Vanagon. Wilder's Law, though, says that the more you spend initially, the more you will spend later. What this sez to me is if your crazy enough to spend 10g's on any 20 year old Van , your crazy enough to drop another 10 into it within the first year of ownership. The price sure doesn't dictate the quality of the ride. What it does do is show how the seller fluffed and buffed , caved and paved the vehicle to levitate the money out of the buyer's pocket. Price in no way, shape, or form, guarantee quality or longevity. The unsuspecting Joe Q. Vanageek could easily be led down the shaky path with a polished up, and waxed up, "pimp my ride" vehicle real quick. Then let the money start being spent. I agree with Stan.
