Q: Any advantage switching to factory alloys? I did exactly that on my '90 Westy last summer, switched from factory steel to alloys. Kept the same tires, moved them over. Yes, there is a slight but perceptible difference in ride, but very subtle. I attribute this to the alloys being 1/2 inch wider and accoding to people on the list a slightly wider offset. I made the change for other reasons, but am pleased with the result. |
