Hi all, There is much info about this in the archives, but I couldn't really nail down what I was looking for. I do apologize if this is a rehash... I just bought an older Kenwood powered subwoofer for my '85 Wolfsburg Westfalia, and it does not have the signal-sensing power switch like the newer ones do. I'm wondering how to power it without draining the battery. I like the setup of having the radio constantly powered so I don't want to splice into the door buzzer or anything like that. I did find some interesting stuff about wiring an amp and/or the head unit through an extra defrost switch in the dash, and I do have one lying around...Does this work well? I have a new Pioneer head unit; if it has a powered antenna wire (I'm not sure if it does,) can I use that? I truly appreciate any thoughts, suggestions, ideas, tips, pointers, etc, Joe Trussell Denver, CO '85 Wolfsburg Westfalia _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
