It looks like my plans to install a TD into my '88 may finally happen this year, so this means I will be pulling the current 2.1L engine to sell, along with the freshly rebuilt 4 speed (20k ago), complete with brand new ring and pinion gears and bearings. The engine has 220k kms on a factory rebuild, with no leaks and has run synthetic oil since '96 when I bought the van. I'm the second owner, and have all receipts since new. I haven't done a compression test since I bought it (it was good then), as I haven't had any reason to. It doesn't burn or leak anything. If you're looking for a cheap replacement engine and/or trans, with the option to drive it before you buy, now is your chance. I haven't set a date for pulling the engine, but it will likely be in the next 2 months or so. Please contact me off list if you're interested.
