That is the Vanagon igniter.
When you're totally fed up with fuel loading up your engine oil and oil
blowing out the tailpipe you just switch a spark plug wire over the igniter
plug and KA-ZOOM all your Vanagon problems become converted from mechanical
problem to an Insurance Problem.
