Type1, 2,3,4, 5.....6 They all look the same to me :-) hi hi hi.
Of course the wasser is a modified air-cooled, you all know the story behind

that?????? of course you know.

Reliable? bah.... they were to me! it as been 7 years now...been there, done

that and they NEVER let me downs, they gave me headache, many. but they all
did get me home...and sometime, as far away as 4000 miles from home...

You make me laught, am just back from a 4000 miles trip, driving 14 hours a
day in a 73 bus's...non stop, only for gaz..so, tell me now, what other 32
year old car will give me that reliability. And am running a stock type2
engine...

Don't get me wrong, i hate VW product in géneral...but about the falt4 design

I have seen bus's still running with a broken piston...

But yes, if i had kids and a wife, i would not own a Vanagon passenger van
as a main car..... but i know people who do!!

It may look ugly, quite low on power, leaking a bit....but, it's 19 years
old, with a lot of millage...am the first ever guy to remove or work on that

engine....everything is original.
