Subject:      Loud Bang

Hello Vanagon Gurus,
                    First of all thanks for the tons of info that helped
me to keep my Westy running for these past twenty one years (1984 Westy).
I just replaced the original motor but I've noticed that one in every four
starts causes a loud bang when first starting. Motor works great except
for this loud bang on some starts. Any ideas as to what causes this -
motor mounts perhaps?
