Subject: bad hall control unit = no spark?

I finally got around to replacing a fuel line that had been bothering me last night, it turned out to be a huge project on my Tiico (don't ask). My problem now, is that it won't start. It seems that I don't have any spark. Would a bad hall control unit cause this? The tiico reuses the original digijet one, mine is the telefunken type, original to the van I think. Its got 12V to terminal 1 and 15, but nothing on the distributor end of the plug wire. Any other ideas? The ECU reports no fault codes, everything else seems normal..

Thanks, Jeff 1984 Westy
