Subject: Lowest Mileage Vanagon?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

My 87 Syncro is down with brake problems, just need to order the parts. I fired up my old spare 87 Vanagon that I got along with a nice 87 Vanagon that I bought with a bad motor intending to swap the engine into the nicer one. I have had it for a couple of years now and I got to checking the mileage on the Van and some paper work on it and it has less than 12k miles on it. It has a handiecap van lift in it and was always a local car in Houston, Tx.... Still runs great, the auto tranny shipts good, ac doesn't work and the body is a little beat up in a few places where the po must have got too close to a post or two.

Any one have a Vanagon with less miles on it. My Syncro has 144k miles on it....But this one has less than 12k miles. Makes it kind of neat... Makes me think of not pulling the engine, but the other one has power windows, mirrors and such.
