Definitely very true. Especially with the brazilian parts. The problem there is that the parts are made by several companies. Many for local use in a cheap economy. Others make "premium" parts for high end and export. With some shipments of parts I have seen I know that either the exporter or the importer was getting one and selling as the other. Some of this may be caused by a brasilian gvt pushing for internalization of its auto industry.

The country of origin is a laugh. There are many ways around it. And humans doing the marking donΉt always help. One place I worked we would get bulk filters and other small stuff in big boxes. The outside of the box was marked but not always the individual inside parts. Then there was usually a slip of stick on labels in the box somewhere but who went looking. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• jimt Planned insanity is best.
