Greetings, lubbers, from North Carolina.  Me and ole Billy Bones headed east a couple of days ago and I wondered whether
we would lope across that thousand miles or sail smoothly (I was remembering the Vanagon syndrome of last Christmas).
Well, it appears that the pigtail I got from Bill M. in Mystic, CT is working.  Bill Bones has never run better.  Lowest MPG
was 19.2, highest was 20.5 and I was loaded to the poop deck!  Nary a buck nor lunge the whole way, says I.  Thanks,

After that rough running episode recently (following an engine wash), I unplugged the O2 sensor for about a week.
I plugged it back up before this trip and all is well.  The spliced wiring must have dried out, finally.

Jere,  I've been following your plight.  I am sorry to hear that you're having such trouble with that head, but if, as you
have suggested, the head is defective, then I would definitely ask the supplier for a new one and ask them to throw
in a gasket kit for your trouble!  I know that when we take on these projects ourselves, we understand that if we do
something wrong we deal with it ourselves, out of our own pockets.  However, but for the defective head, you would
not now be in this unenviable position!  The vendor may or may not decide to pony up, but it would not hurt to ask.
Most vendors on our list are very reputable and I have every expectation that if you got it from one of them, they would
do the right thing.

I passed a white late model Westy near Asheville the other day.  Was it any of our group?

Thinking of driving on down to Myrtle Beach, SC for a couple of days.  It is spring break, after all.
