Subject: Conversions-16v?

I know it's probably been all hashed out before, but why isn't any converting Vanagons with VW 2 liter 16v engines of the 1989-94 era? It certainly would bolt to the bellhousing of the diesel. I know it's a faily high revving engine, but there are gearboxes avaiable to use that powere band. See, I've got one in my shop and it sure is pretty... seems a shame that it sits there. Al Brase
