Yep. That's a current-model (1989 onward) long-wheelbase Hiace (LH100-series), almost certainly a 2.4 gas. Upspec Japanese-market ones have no fold-down center front eat, but a hot & cold box instead.

I just do not know why they are not using extralong-wheelbase Hiaces for camper conversions; these are all high-roof, so poptop not needed, and there's an extra foot or so in length.

They are not quite as wide as a Vanagon, because Japanese registration for cars over 1.690 meters is prohibitive.
