Joel (the statistician) did an interesting analysis of the
operating/lifetime cost of using high octane versus regular gasoline.
It should be in the archives.


Personally, I don't think the 2.1 or 1.9 need high octane.  They are low
compression ratio engines.
I've never read the owners manual though.....
