Sorry Robert, I just don't believe it and never will. I bought this Vanagon
in Spokane WA where is sat parked for 6 years. Vanagons are rare indeed
there, but despite this being a diesel I was able to rebuild the engine, get
all parts and drive it to New Mexico without a problem.

I don't know what you're talking about. Seattle is the Emerald City and
Santa Fe is the City Different. I have never needed a towtruck and never
broke down on the side of the road.

Mine must be a large safety bubble, last year I drove round trip from Santa
Fe to New York City with nary a hiccup. Cheap too!

People like you... and the OP of this discussion... try not to be offended
now... y'all need to admit that y'all lack the SKILL to manage an unruly
German machine. I believe Larry Chase has explored this issue publicly. So
quit yer yellow-bellied whining and learn how to build a Vanagon like the
Germans intended it to be.
