I don't know what any tire industry definition for "reinforced sidewall" is but I would never buy tires with less than 2 sidewall plys for a Vanagon. I also would never buy tires that had a maximum pressure rating of only 35 psi since the pressures listed on the Vanagon door stickers always exceed this. I prefer "Load C" tires with M+S tread and I consider most of the common Load "D" tires to be inferior choices for Vanagons due to their poor tread design. All of the above refers to 14" tires in any of the 3 sizes that can be considered stock on Vanagons. 185R14 205/70-14 197/75-14 Spring must be here, I hear birds singing and the list is talking tires.
