The part number of the Idle Stabilizer Unit on the 81 California Vanagon
(air cooled) is 171 906 083 4zy.
It had a second number as well: 5DA 003 703-00
My friend also needs the connectors. The ones he has are broken.
Any help is appreciated.

How about giving me a part number on that unit?
I understand that electronic modules from many other Audi and VW will
interchange and have the exact part numbers.
