It basically eliminates the interference problem. The other thing that is less than obvious is that you'll often get better results setting the transmitter to the same frequency as a weaker station, rather than trying to pick a hole between stronger stations. (There's a long explanation of the FM capture effect that I'll skip) And finally, if you don't have a trunk-mounted changer, and your head unit supports one, there are ways to make a Sirius tuner look like a changer to the head unit. -Zandr |
