Chuck,
    I'd say keep your diagnosis simple, you've removed the battery now check
the ignition switch (it's a little plastic switch on the steering column).
Then start working around to the starter.  I have a hard time believing your
starter would just stop working without any pre-warning.  When I have a
problem I look through the parts at the online retailers and see what they
are selling as these are most likely the parts that fail.

Interstate batt is at 100%
There isn't any crank at all - starter doesn't turn or make any noise...need
help....does this Dx indicate it's time to replace the
