Did you remove the cages when you cleaned and repacked the joints?  If so, you may have gotten
the cages back in the wrong way.  Check out the section on CVs at Volkscafe.com where there is a great write-up
on CV maintenance.  The write-up contains a warning about putting them back together the wrong way.  Lots
of knocking and shortened life.
