Subject: 1.9L WBX to 2.1L WBX -
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Question: Can the 1.9L engine be upgraded to an essentially 2.1L engine simply by changing a few parts......like cylinder barrels, pistons, etc. If so, how extensive would the parts substitution be. How far down into the block would one have to go? Cylinders? Pistons, Rods? Crank?? How about haveing to modify the case to accept different barrels.

Just curious as to what would be necessary to make over the 1.9L into a 2.1L, without simply doing an engine exchange.

From what I understand, the 1.9L heads are useable on the 2.1L engine, but what else works?

Thanks,

Regards,

John Rodgers 88 GL Driver Chelsea, AL
