Hi all,

I used to subscribe to this list but don't have the time anymore to follow up on it regularly. Hope all is well and Herr Doktor is not giving everyone too much of a hard time. I swapped to Subie power and have some things for sale. This is also listed on thesamba.com if you'd like to see pics. I also have pics of leak down test:

Please p-mail as I do not intend on subscribing to this list for very long.

Did Subie conversion: Have for cheap in Los Angeles: 1.9l WBX, rebuilt by shop 2 years ago with new AMC heads. ,5% leak down on pass side cylinders, ~80% leak down on drivers cyl. Was going about 80mph last year in AZ desert and power suddenly disappeared for 2 seconds, then came back to about 70% of normal hp. This might just be a lifter issue, you figure it out. Still ran in Nov 04 (70%) before conversion. Slight clicking, like when lifters aren't pumped fully. Also: Practically new AFM (~4000 miles) BOSCH from Bus Depot ($$$$) sell for $$. Also got the wiring harness with coil, idle control, 2 ECU (both tried and true), fuel pump relays, etc. COOLING HOSES!!! J-exhaust pipe, spark plug wires (Autolite) and cap, spare Alternator and AC compressor. All except AC comp were either rebuilt or replaced new 2 years ago. Prefer pick up, will not ship engine. Might sell heads separately. Drove Vanagon maybe 8000 miles after last rebuild.

Keep On Trucking!!!

CJ
