As for the angle, its not all that important. The syncro requires a special gas tank for the starter to fit. The diesel bell housing has a smaller clutch than a 2.1l. So, if you use an adapter from kep you can have a bigger clutch and get around the gas tank problem. As for the fuel injection system, use the system that came with the engine. 2.0L are OBT1 or OBT2 both are good systems. The easiest way though is to change the head to a 88 -92 Golf/jetta digifant system.
