When I had my speedo fixed at a local speedo shop here in Pittsburgh, I forgot to tell them that I took out the little gear between the odometer and trip tick. When I picked it up, there was a gear in it again. He said the instrument was a standard manufacturer (VDO) and he had salvaged a lot of parts over the years. I'd saved the gear I took out and gave it to him for his collection. So talk to a speedo shop. They may be able to get you one.
