Hi Bruce,

I have seen turn signal circuits blink faster when the load is increased... like when attaching a trailer light harness.

Perhaps you have some corrosion developing at a connection or socket that is adding additional load to the circuit. If it's not the flasher and it's not the bulbs, then it pretty much has to be a wiring issue. But before you check the wiring, double-check the bulbs and verify that the sockets are clean and corrosion free and swap in known good bulbs "just because". If the socket cleaning and bulb swap doesn't change things, then you've got some wiring to examine.
