Hi folks,

My wife, daughter and I are headed out from Denver for Beautiful (?) Shreveport, LA for the big Easter weekend today.

I just got the new '85 Wolfsburg Westfalia and, after doing this and that, feel that it's certainly roadworthy and ready for the trip.

Unfortunately (depending upon how you look at it I guess) we bought my wife a 2001 Passat GLX 4Motion Wagon last October.

Having done the trip for Christmas in the Passat, through ice and snow and jackknifed semi's and every other possible treachery, I have to admit that it is superior to the Vanagon in every possible way on a quick, no-camping roadtrip.

I still hate to leave my new Vanagon behind, though.

Have a great weekend!

Joe T. Denver, CO
