Howdy Listees,

My '82 westy has four small metal holders, two on the ceiling and two on the door pillars just above the top mounting point of my seat belts. The top two holders are mounted using the headliner screws and all four are the same size and could be used to hold very thin pencils. My guess is that these were for a curtain rail or cord which supported a curtain that seperated the front seat area from the rest of the van. They look original but I would like to know if anyone is familiar with these, and if so could you describe the complete set-up... I can send pictures if this description is too vague.

Also,,, the '82 survived the extreme cold and snow of the Rocky Mountains for the last few months (thank you engine heater) and has once again made it back to the warm and blooming south-east. I almost got to use my AAA membership when a lone Kansas gas-station was closed. When I finally sputtered into the next town and station I was able to add 14.9 gallons of gas to my tank which is a record for the westy and I.

Jonathan Poole
