No, but this is unladen weight. Again, a fully-laden Vanagon may weigh much more than a fully-laden Audi Quattro, because it can carry a heck of a lot more cargo. Also, if an empty Audi Carat weighs the same as an empty Audi Quattro, then an empty Westy or Syncro will weigh more than the Audi. This does not prove that Audi wheels are necessarily unsafe on a Vanagon (it is impossible to say for sure, since we do not know precisely what the maximum capacity of the Audi wheels is) ... but the numbers you cite certainly do not prove that they are safe either.
