When my '77 Westy was still my daily driver, I brought it to an NTB (National Tire & Battery) chain store here in PA for state inspection. The "mechanic" checked my engine emissions by putting the test wand in the exhaust pipe for my gas heater! Since the heater wasn't running at the time, I had a "zero-emissions vehicle!" He looked very perplexed, tried it a couple more times, and then passed it. :-). - Ron Salmon The Bus Depot, Inc. www.busdepot.com (215) 234-VWVW
