I just got back from our eight-day westy road trip which took my granddaughter down to the Atlantic coast to the Little Talbot State Park area, then on to see the Rat in Orlando, then up to the Gulf coast and back home. Probably why some thought the list was down : ) During this time I met up with listee Michael Rule and picked up a slide-out middle seat to extend the seating capacity of my westy. Thanks, Mike! Best I can figure and from what Michael told me, the rig comprises two rails that mount into the floor, and a seat that can slide out to remove it or when the fridge/pantry doors need to be accessed, provided that the sliding door is open. I'm told that the fastening mounts for the rails are already built into the floor of the van, under the wooden westy floor. Can anybody provide insight into the procedure for fitting this setup to my westy? Is asking if you have to pull the westy innards like asking if you have to pull the engine to replace a rear seal? Thanks, Jim |
