I've been playing with "super bright" blue and white LEDs in the Vanagon
cluster.  They work, but I am not impressed with the quality of the light
produced.  Blue looks cool, make the white really white, but the green and
red on the tach looks really weird.  The angle of the LED is critical as
they are pretty directional.  So far, I am going to give the project a rest
and I am not convinced that there is a real benefit to having LEDs other
than the "coolness" factor.  Next I will be experimenting with "super
bright" reds to see if they work as to keep night vision.

Someone posted a while ago about some LED lights they installing or trying
to configure to the dash lights. There was a good website listed with that.
Anyone have a link to it? I have been trying the archives and can not find
it.
