ben, i think you mean "'89 wolfsburg" instead of "carat" in your last scentence.. :<)

the four different jumpseat upholstry patterns - all grey:

1)grey velour "check" pattern with grey piping, grey vinyl sides and backs and grey sidepanel covers found on '87-'91 wolfsburgs and carats (except '89 wolfsburg)

2)grey velour GL "plaid" pattern with black piping, grey vinyl sides and backs and black sidepanel covers found on '90-'91 Multivans

3) grey tweed (with little blue and red specs) with grey piping and grey vinyl sides and backs and black sidepanel covers found on '90-'91 NON-GL vans

4) grey diagonally striped velour (about 5 different shades of grey diagonal stripes) with grey piping, grey VELOUR sides and backs, and grey sidepanel covers found only on '89 wolfsburgs (aka Bluestar/Whitestar in europe)

these are the US spec vans, i cannot speak for what was offered in europe...
