The topic of canvas sealers brought a thought back to mind: instead of using canvas for the sides, why not ripstop nylon and screening?

Here's what I'm thinking... - use heavy-duty nylon around the edges for strength (about 8-10) - make the rest of the panels out of no-seeum screening which can zip out - Create a removable 'fly' for wet weather.

For me, there are some distinct advantages: - better circulation - NO MOLD - if a panel gets torn it can be replaced easilly - no worries about things getting wet (back to the mold issue again)

Disadvantages: - if you leave the fly off and it rains, you get WET (same as if you were in a tent) - cost. canvas/sunbrella pops are realatively cheap

Anyone done this? I know of a few who've made flys, but left the rest alone. Is there anyone who'd take this as a custom job? I wonrder what the cost would be...
