Can someone tell me the best method for replacing the short little fuel lines to the injectors? On my air-cooled van, I cut these off and simply used the orignal "retaining rings" that were there to secure the new lines.

On the van that I bringing x-country, my friend did not want to mess with these, and I don't know if I should the day I fly in and drive off the next day, but maybe I should.

Also if there a quick metal fitting, I can put in place of the plastic one for the x-country ride home?

John
