Nate, I haven't really looked that close on my 88 GL, but if it is the pipe thread nipple that spun out, you can simply put it back in, then lock the nipple by "Staking" it in place. To do this use a very small punch or small coal chisel and hammer. Place the punch or chisel blade right down at the base where the threads go into the block, and strike the punch with the hammer. What this does is to peen the metal over and lock the two metals together mechanically. DO NOT strike really hard. You want just enough of a blow to move the tinest bit of metal. This way, when you go to remove the nipple, you can back it out with just a little pressure, yet not tear everything up in the process. Staking is done all the time in the aviation industry to prevent things from moving, when it is awkward to get any other type safety locking device in place.

Regards,

John Rodgers 88 GL Driver
