Below is a message a friend got after he shipped a rare Porsche Targa door to an eBay buyer-

" I got the door yesterday; it sat for several days at a neighbor's house since he got the address wrong. They finally traced me down and I went to get it. It was sent just wrapped in moldy carpet and shrink wrap. Since it weighs in at 99

lbs, and shrink wrap is hard to get a grip on, it looked as if it had been dropped several times, the door edges were crumpled, the sides had huge dents in them, the interior door pockets crushed, and BOTH widows shattered--not at all what was in the pictures that I bid on. It arrived over a month after I paid for

it. And its in now worse shape than the door I need to replace."

Yes, you guessed right- UPS.

I'd like to add that it should have been crated. Shipping a door is risky business.

Robert
